Baseball Game Preview: St. Bonaventure Seraphs vs. Thousand Oaks Lancers

The St. Bonaventure Seraphs will head out on the road to face off against the Thousand Oaks Lancers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Bonaventure's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Thousand Oaks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Saturday, St. Bonaventure didn't have quite enough to beat Thousand Oaks and fell 7-5.

Jason De La Paz put in work while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero). He was even better at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

De La Paz wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Byrd, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Aman Singh also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Thousand Oaks and bumps their season record up to 4-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of two runs across that stretch. As for St. Bonaventure, they suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 2-2.
