The Gardner-Edgerton Trailblazers will face off against the Olathe East Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gardner-Edgerton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.

Gardner-Edgerton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Kansas' top teams: Lawrence, who was ranked 24th at the time (Gardner-Edgerton was ranked 21st). The Trailblazers fell just short of the Lions by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Gardner-Edgerton have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Their goal came courtesy of Lana Bayles, who's now up to four this season.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous five contests, Olathe East brought some dynamite into their most recent match. Their defense stepped up to hand Shawnee Mission North an 8-0 shutout on Tuesday. Olathe East haven't had any issues with Shawnee Mission North recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Gardner-Edgerton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Olathe East, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
