Vernon put the finishing touches on their 13th blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past the Poplar Springs Atomics 12-1. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Vernon considering their one-run performance the match before.

Renecia Hogans made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Hogans was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, Vernon got a massive performance out of Jonei Gordon, who went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBI, and a run. Cheyenne Wilson was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
