Baseball Preview: Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs vs. Trezevant Bears
The Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs will square off against the Trezevant Bears at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
Things were looking good for Raleigh-Egypt after they put the first points on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Bolton by a score of 8-7. The Pharaohs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Trezevant made easy work of Douglass on Wednesday and carried off a 15-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won three games by nine runs or more so far this season.
Rickey Wright made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up three earned runs off only two hits. Wright was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
