Recap: Vinemont Eagles vs. Brindlee Mountain Lions
The Vinemont Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Brindlee Mountain 68-32 at home. Given Vinemont's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Brindlee Mountain is ranked 281st), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Vinemont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reagan Robinson led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The matchup was Robinson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Whitney Quick, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds.
Vinemont is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Brindlee Mountain, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vinemont will face off against West Point at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. West Point will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Brindlee Mountain's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cleveland at 5:30 p.m. on December 18th.
