Kewaunee had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Mishicot on Monday. The Storm blew past the Indians 3-0. The Storm have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

While Kewaunee won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-23.

Kewaunee's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braelyn Chevalier led the charge by getting 20 digs and seven assists. Those seven assists gave Chevalier a new career-high. Gabby Stangel was another key player, getting 23 digs.

Despite the loss, Mishicot still got an impressive performance from Izzy Thornton, who had 11 digs and eight assists. Thornton has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Kewaunee's victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 10-5. As for Mishicot, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-19.

Kewaunee has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Peshtigo on the 7th. As for Mishicot, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah on the 9th.
