Basketball Game Preview: Wingate Generals vs. Boys & Girls Kangaroos

Wingate is on a four-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, Boys & Girls a six-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Monday. After both having extra time off, both will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 4:30 p.m.

Last Wednesday, Wingate was beaten by Brooklyn Law & Tech 72-20. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 409th, while the Jets are ranked 75th).

Meanwhile, Boys & Girls strolled past Van Arsdale with points to spare last Wednesday, taking the game 43-28.

Boys & Girls' win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Wingate, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-6.

Wingate was able to grind out a solid victory over Boys & Girls in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, winning 37-30. Will Wingate repeat their success, or does Boys & Girls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
