Baseball Recap: Sacred Heart Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Sacred Heart, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 9-2 margin over the Beau Chene Gators on Monday. Considering the Trojans have won four matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Sacred Heart has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. Beau Chene dropped their record down to 2-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Sacred Heart will be playing in front of their home fans against De La Salle at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Beau Chene, they will head out to challenge Vermilion Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
