Football Recap: Royse City Piles Up the Points Against Weatherford

While Royse City didn't have the best season last year (they finished 2-8), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They claimed a resounding 60-17 win over the Weatherford Kangaroos. Fans of the Bulldogs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Jamion Richardson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 251 yards and three TDs while completing 73.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 31 yards and one score. The victory keeps Royse City at an undefeated 4-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 51.0 points this season. As for Weatherford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Royse City and Weatherford will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bulldogs are set to take on their familiar foe Rockwall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Weatherford will square off against rival Crowley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
