Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Gunnison walked away with it. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Windsor Charter Academy Firebirds on Saturday. The win was familiar territory for the Cowboys, who have now won 11 matches in a row.

Aubrey Welfelt paced Gunnison's offense, picking up 12 kills. Welfelt got some help from Natalia Sabino and her 17 assists. Finally, Rose Kowal kept Gunnison's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Gunnison's victory bumped their record up to 20-5. As for Windsor Charter Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-9 record this season.
