Baseball Recap: Serena Takes a Loss

If Serena was riding high fresh off their 10-2 takedown of Earlville last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskers fell just short of the Newark Norsemen by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskers in their meetings with the Norsemen: they've now lost three in a row.

Serena's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. As for Newark, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-9.

While Serena had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
