Recap: Saint Andrew's Scots vs. Spanish River Sharks
The Saint Andrew's Scots can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past Spanish River 49-28. The win was just what Saint Andrew's needed coming off of a 71-29 loss in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Saint Andrew's to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Smith, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Ainsley Ramsburg was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals.
Saint Andrew's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Spanish River, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season.
Saint Andrew's will square off against Somerset Prep at TBD on Friday. Saint Andrew's will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while Somerset Prep is ranked 19th). As for Spanish River, they will face off against Monarch at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Monarch is coming into the contest with ten straight defeats on the road, meaning Spanish River will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
