Cimarron is 1-9 against Logan since April of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Rams will look to defend their home field against the Longhorns at 2:00 p.m. Cimarron is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.1 runs per game this season.
Cimarron lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Clayton, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's contest. The Rams put the hurt on the Yellowjackets with a sharp 16-1 victory on Saturday. While the Rams didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-11), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Urijah Martinez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
In other batting news, Cimarron got a massive performance out of Zian Dimas, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Zayden Martinez, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Cimarron always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clayton only posted an OBP of .176.
Meanwhile, Logan didn't have quite enough to beat Santa Rosa on Thursday and fell 10-9. The defeat continues a trend for the Longhorns in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost five in a row.
Mason Wallin made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Ryver Neece was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
The win made it two in a row for Cimarron and bumps their season record up to 7-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Logan, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Monday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Cimarron hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .402. However, it's not like Logan struggles in that department as they've averaged .356. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Cimarron might still be hurting after the 13-3 defeat they got from Logan in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
