Softball Recap: Morrisville-Eaton Warriors vs. Hamilton Emerald Knights

Morrisville-Eaton had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Hamilton Emerald Knights 11-9. For Morrisville-Eaton, this counts as revenge for the 5-0 defeat Hamilton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2023.

For Hamilton's part, Ellie Freeth was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and six unearned) runs off only one hit. Freeth was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with an RBI.
