Baseball Recap: Western Heights Comes Up Short

Western Heights managed to slip by Riverside Indian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Jets came up short against the Braves on Friday, falling 8-0. The Jets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Western Heights saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keziah Howell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base. Howell has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Western Heights' loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Riverside Indian, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home.

Coming up, Western Heights will square off against Guthrie at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Jets are facing the Bluejays at the right time seeing as the Bluejays are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Riverside Indian, they will challenge Cyril at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
