Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Crooked Oak walked away with it. They blew past the Morris Eagles 82-41 on Saturday. The Ruf-Nex have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crooked Oak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamel Morris, who en route to 20 points and five boards. Morris' big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Elijah Garcia was another key player, to rack up 15 points.
Crooked Oak was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.
The victory (which was Crooked Oak's fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.2 points over those games. As for Morris, they dropped their record down to 9-16 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
