Volleyball Recap: Kingdom Leadership Comes Up Short

The Kingdom Leadership Chargers didn't have quite enough to beat the United Faith Christian Academy Falcons on Tuesday and fell 3-2. While the Chargers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 25-16 in the first set.

Kingdom Leadership took United Faith Christian Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-15, 15-25, 25-15, 15-11.

Kingdom Leadership's offense was headlined by Farrah Greene and Eliana Mays, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Ella Reed and her 15 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

United Faith Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hailey Bridges led the charge by getting six aces.

Kingdom Leadership's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for United Faith Christian Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kingdom Leadership will head out to take on Grace Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for United Faith Christian Academy, they will challenge Woodlawn at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
