Softball Recap: Mingo Central Comes Up Short

Mingo Central was the 9-6 winner over Martin County when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Mingo Central fell just short of Martin County by a score of 8-6 on Saturday.

Mingo Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Martin County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Mingo Central will face off against PikeView at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Martin County, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-8 loss against Knott County Central on the 29th.
