Union won the last time they faced North Sanpete and things went their way on Friday too. The Cougars came out on top against the Hawks by a score of 61-51. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Bryce Swapp and James Clayton certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Swapp almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards, while Clayton went 5-for-12 on his way to 11 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. Swapp's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Hudson Smith, who posted eight points.

Union's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for North Sanpete, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Union will challenge rival Emery at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, North Sanpete is set to take on their familiar foe Carbon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
