Basketball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Palmetto Panthers, falling 48-9. The Rockets lost against the Panthers in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 56-45 score last time.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Palmetto, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Central will be home for the holidays to greet Mourning at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Central is facing Mourning at the right time seeing as Mourning is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Palmetto, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Coral Reef at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
