Recap: Williston Red Devils vs. Union County Fightin' Tigers
In what's become a running theme this season, the Williston Red Devils gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 67-11 win over Union County. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-4.
Natreana Akanni was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 23 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kierce Solomon, who scored 11 points.
Williston's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Union County, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williston will take on North Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Union County, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Oak Hall at 6:00 p.m. Oak Hall is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
