Baseball Recap: Memorial Takes a Loss

If Memorial was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Heritage two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell just short of the Denton Broncos by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Broncos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Memorial has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Denton, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-14-2.

Memorial will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Frisco at 7:30 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Denton, they will welcome Crowley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Broncos are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
