Basketball Recap: Shoemaker Piles Up the Points Against Bryan

Shoemaker waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They breezed past the Bryan Vikings to the tune of 58-21. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Shoemaker got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jalaiya Johnson out in front who posted nine points and seven boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Janeen Lashley-Hill, who put up eight points along with 12 rebounds and five assists.

Shoemaker was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in four consecutive games.

Shoemaker's victory bumped their record up to 22-5. As for Bryan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, Shoemaker and Bryan will both be playing Temple the next time they take the court. The Wolves will host the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Vikings will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
