 Beaver is 9-1 against Ambridge since April of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Monday. The Beaver Bobcats will head out on the road to  square off against  the Ambridge Bridgers at 4:00  p.m.
 Last Thursday, it was a hard-fought  match, but Beaver had to settle for  a  5-4 loss against Neshannock. Beaver has not had much luck with Neshannock recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
  Logan Hill put in work while hitting and pitching. He  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit over 4.1 innings pitched. Hill has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in five consecutive pitching appearances. Hill was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  David Corob was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring a  run while going 3-for-3.
 Meanwhile, Ambridge scored the most  runs they've had all season to find success  on Saturday. They came out on top against Eden Christian Academy by a score of  10-6. Ambridge's victory was all the more impressive since Eden Christian Academy was averaging only four runs allowed on the season.
 Like Beaver, Ambridge also got a great game from a two-way player:  Naziel Thompson. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched. Thompson was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Adam Fernandez, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Teagan Baker, who  went 3-for-4 with two  RBI and a  double.
 Beaver's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Ambridge,  the  win  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 3-6.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Beaver has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 6.6  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Ambridge struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 7.1. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Beaver came up short against Ambridge in their previous matchup  back in April of 2023, falling  6-1. Can Beaver avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
