Central started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against McAdory. They and the Yellowjackets were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but they suffered  a  21-20 defeat. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing  31-10 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

 When it comes to explaining why Central lost, don't look at  Anthony Dixon. Despite the final result, he rushed for 138 yards and one  score while picking up 7.7 yards per carry. Dixon's rushing production has been exceptional  recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 126  rushing yards.
 McAdory's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Derrion Davis led the charge by rushing for 79 yards and one  touchdown.
Central suffered their first home  loss, dropping their record down to 5-2. As for McAdory, the  win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will host Brookwood  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Falcons will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.86  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for McAdory, they will welcome Hueytown  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
