After a string of seven wins, Elkhorn's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Lake Mills L-Cats by a score of 6-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Elks of the 13-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Elkhorn's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Lake Mills, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-9 record.

Coincidentally, Elkhorn and Lake Mills will both be playing Oconomowoc the next time they take the field. The Elks will head out to face the Raccoons at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the L-Cats will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
