Volleyball Game Preview: Grant Lancers vs. Sun Valley Magnet Pioneers

The Grant Lancers will head out to take on the Sun Valley Magnet Pioneers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grant will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Grant had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Poly on Monday. The Lancers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Parrots.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-17, 25-11.

Meanwhile, Sun Valley Magnet didn't have quite enough to beat University Prep Value on Friday and fell 3-2.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Sun Valley Magnet sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 13-25, 25-22, 14-25, 16-14.

Sun Valley Magnet's defeat ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-9. As for Grant, their victory bumped their record up to 18-4.

Grant beat Sun Valley Magnet 2-0 in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Do the Lancers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pioneers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
