Soccer Recap: New Castle Takes a Loss

New Castle managed to keep up with New Palestine until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Trojans lost 4-1 to the Dragons. While losing is never fun, New Castle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 214th, while New Palestine are ranked 42nd).

New Castle's goal came courtesy of Quentin Tafoya, who's now up to three this season.

New Castle has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for New Palestine, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-3.

New Castle has already played their next match, a 6-0 loss against Delta on the 11th. As for New Palestine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 5-4 victory against Lawrence North on the 13th.
