 Cimarron came into Friday's   match having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Logan Longhorns with a sharp  14-8 victory on Friday. Cimarron might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won four matchups by six  runs or more this season.
  Urijah Martinez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He  pitched two innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   one  hit. Martinez was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Dylan Atzberger was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Taven Martinez, who  scored two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 On Logan's side,  Izaiah Kneitz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 3-for-3 with three  RBI and a  stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaeden Stoner, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Cimarron's win bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Logan, their loss  ended  a  five-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 14-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cimarron's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on Melrose at 2:00  p.m.  on Monday. Logan will take on Grady at 3:00  p.m.  on Monday. Grady is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.6  runs per game  this season.
