Bishop O'Connell waltzed into their match on Friday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They walked away with a 12-8 victory over the Georgetown Bulldogs. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Mark Zonavetch looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Noah Haught was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Owen Spera was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Bishop O'Connell pushed their record up to 18-4 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Georgetown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.

Bishop O'Connell has already played their next game, a 9-5 win against Audubon on the 26th. As for Georgetown, they are taking a road trip to square off against Andrews at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
