Mesa Ridge skates past Harrison with ease

Recap: Mesa Ridge Grizzlies vs. Harrison Panthers

The Mesa Ridge Grizzlies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 66-26 victory over Harrison on the road. The win was some much needed relief for Mesa Ridge as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Mesa Ridge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aeriana Nelson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nelson has scored all season. Bray Pelt was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Monet Brown, who scored six points along with five rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Nyleen Brown, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and two blocks.

Mesa Ridge's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-14. As for Harrison, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.

Mesa Ridge will be playing at home against Palmer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Mesa Ridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday. As for Harrison, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Canon City at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Canon Citypresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Harrison in Colorado (Canon City is ranked 100th, while Harrison is ranked 293rd).
