Volleyball Recap: Cokeville Comes Up Short

If Cokeville was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Saratoga on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountain View Buffalos on Wednesday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Buffalos recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

While Cokeville ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 24-26, 25-21, 25-18.

Hannah Walker was the offensive standout of the match as she had 13 digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last seven matchups.

Cokeville's defeat dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Mountain View, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-12-1.

Looking ahead, Cokeville will square off against Little Snake River at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mountain View, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Lander Valley on the 23rd.
