Volleyball Recap: Palm Valley Takes a Loss

Palm Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Indian Springs COYOTES. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the COYOTES this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in March.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 16-25, 25-12, 25-15.

Alex Ratner paced Palm Valley's offense, picking up 14 kills. Ratner got some help from Evan Wang and his eight assists. Finally, Kyle Knight kept Palm Valley's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Palm Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Indian Springs, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-13.

Coming up, Indian Springs will be playing at home against Miller at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Palm Valley will be paying especially close attention to the COYOTES' match: after the COYOTES faces off against Public Safety Academy, they'll take on Palm Valley again at 3:30 p.m. on the 15th.
