Basketball Recap: Ozona Falls Despite Big Games from Christain Villarreal and Hudson Fowler

It was a proper cat-fight when Ozona faced off against Ballinger on Friday. The Ozona Lions took a 52-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ballinger Bearcats. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ozona's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Hudson Fowler, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds, and Christain Villarreal, who posted 14 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Fowler has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last three times he's played.

Ozona's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Ballinger, their win bumped their record up to 7-11.

Ozona wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 62-45 victory against Roby on the 28th. As for Ballinger, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 49-25 win against Hico on the 28th.
