River Falls has gone 9-1 against New Richmond recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the River Falls Wildcats duke it out with the New Richmond Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Last Tuesday, River Falls had to suffer through a 81-39 loss at the hands of Eau Claire Memorial. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Old Abes are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, New Richmond was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 64-60 to Eau Claire North.

New Richmond's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for River Falls, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

River Falls strolled past New Richmond in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 71-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for River Falls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
