Baseball Recap: Wray Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

It's playoff time, and Wray had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Ignacio Bobcats 12-11. 12 seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The team relied heavily on Gage Waitman, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Brodie Riggleman was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Wray kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Wray's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-11. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Ignacio, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-6.

As of now, neither Wray nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
