Volleyball Recap: Mercy Gets the Win

Mercy won the last time they faced Hillhouse and things went their way on Monday too. The Tigers came out on top against the Academics by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-20, 22-25, 25-9.

Julia Wlaz paced Mercy's offense, picking up seven kills. Wlaz got some help from Charlotte Parker and her 28 assists. Wlaz was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Mercy's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Hillhouse, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-10.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mercy is set to square off against their familiar foe Lyman Hall at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hillhouse will face off against rival Hamden at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
