The Knights closed out pool play 4-0 and advance to the Open Division Southern Section title game for the first time in program history. They take on the Tuesday's winner between No. 5 Roosevelt (Eastvale) and St. John Bosco (Bellflower) on March 1.

Notre Dame (26-6) defeated JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano) 71-68, slipped by La Mirada 71-65 and took down Santa Margarita (Rancho Santa Margarita) 67-59 in their pool play contests.

Although Harvard-Westlake drops to 29-2 on the season, the two-time defending state champions still have an opportunity to defend their crown next month in the Southern California Open Division bracket. Five-star Duke signee Nikolas Khamenia scored a game-high 31 points in the loss.

The Wolverines are now 120-10 in their past 130 games with three of those losses coming against Notre Dame.
