Volleyball Game Preview: McKinley Tech Trainers vs. School Without Walls Penguins

McKinley Tech is 0-10 against School Without Walls since October of 2015 but things could change on Saturday. The Trainers will look to defend their home court against the Penguins at 11:15 a.m. McKinley Tech will be strutting in after a win while School Without Walls will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, it was close, but McKinley Tech sidestepped Cardozo for a 2-1 victory. The Trainers haven't had any issues with the Clerks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was McKinley Tech who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 23-25, 25-19.

Meanwhile, School Without Walls faced Georgetown Day in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Penguins came up short against the Mighty Hoppers, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-12, 25-7.

School Without Walls' defeat dropped their record down to 21-6. As for McKinley Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
