Softball Recap: Sylmar Spartans vs. Canoga Park Hunters

Sylmar scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Monday. Everything went their way against the Canoga Park Hunters as the Sylmar Spartans made off with an 18-7 victory. With that win, Sylmar brought their scoring average up to 6.7 runs per game.

Sylmar got a massive performance out of Ruby Navarrete, who went 3-for-5 with two triples, four RBI, and a stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriella Rocks, who went 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs, and a stolen base.

Sylmar's victory bumped their record up to 5-11-1. As for Canoga Park, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-9.

Sylmar will head out on the road to challenge Kennedy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canoga Park, they will be playing at home against Van Nuys at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Canoga Park is facing Van Nuys at the right time seeing as Van Nuys is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
