Football Recap: Marathon Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Marathon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 42-6 loss at the hands of the Zephyrhills Christian Academy Warriors. The Dolphins were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

When it comes to explaining why Marathon lost, don't look at Matthew Machado. Despite the final result, he rushed for 105 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries.

Marathon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Marathon is taking a road trip to square off against Palmer Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Zephyrhills Christian Academy, they will host Westwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
