Softball Game Preview: Boscobel Bulldogs vs. Cuba City Cubans

Boscobel is 2-8 against Cuba City since May of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Bulldogs will challenge the Cubans at 5:00 p.m. Boscobel has given up an average of 20.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Boscobel is headed into Monday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 15th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They lost 27-1 to Fennimore. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Golden Eagles since on Friday.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last game, Cuba City made sure to put some runs up on the board against Iowa-Grant on Thursday. The Cubans were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Panthers. The result was nothing new for the Cubans, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Boscobel's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Cuba City, their victory bumped their record up to 16-2.

Boscobel might still be hurting after the 30-0 loss they got from Cuba City in their previous meeting back in April. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
