Softball Game Preview: Frenship Tigers vs. Odessa Bronchos

The Frenship Tigers will face off against the Odessa Bronchos at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Frenship will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.

Frenship had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Midland Legacy on Tuesday. The Tigers blew past the Rebels 17-7. Considering the Tigers have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Odessa lost 13-1 to Midland on Tuesday. The Bronchos have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Frenship pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Odessa, their loss dropped their record down to 7-16.

Frenship took their victory against Odessa in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 16-2 score. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Bronchos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
