Volleyball Recap: Wheaton Bulldogs vs. Jefferson Independent Day Cavaliers

Wheaton lost against Jefferson Independent Day back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldogs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cavaliers. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jefferson Independent Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Soha Shaikh, who had 14 digs. That's the most digs Shaikh has posted over her last seven matches. Another player making a difference was Vivian Sharp, who had 13 digs.

Wheaton's loss dropped their record down to 2-11-1. As for Jefferson Independent Day, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7-3.

Looking ahead, Wheaton will head out on the road to take on Bronaugh at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Jefferson Independent Day, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Jasper at 5:30 p.m.
