Softball Recap: Farmersville Takes a Loss

Farmersville fell victim to De Kalb and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They fell just short of the De Kalb Bears by a score of 2-0. That's two games in a row now that the Farmers have lost by exactly two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for Farmersville and nudges their season record down to 5-7-2. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 10-6 Gunter (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 71.3% over those games). As for De Kalb, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.

Coming up, Farmersville will challenge Gunter at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for De Kalb, they will venture away from home to challenge Sam Rayburn at 4:05 p.m. on Saturday.
