Soccer Game Preview: Mariemont vs. Roger Bacon

The Mariemont Warriors will square off against the Roger Bacon Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Roger Bacon will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Mariemont extended their winning streak to four on Saturday. The Warriors never let Bethel-Tate get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. Mariemont might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by three goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Roger Bacon made sure to put some goals up on the board against Reading on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 5-0 margin over the Blue Devils. Roger Bacon haven't had any issues with Reading recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Mariemont's win bumped their record up to 16-2-1. As for Roger Bacon, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9-2.

Mariemont couldn't quite get it done against Roger Bacon in their previous meeting back in September of 2015 as they fell 2-0. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
