Basketball Recap: Windermere Wolverines vs. Ocoee Knights

In what's become a running theme this season, the Windermere Wolverines gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 75-45 win over Ocoee at home. Winning may never get old, but Windermere sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Ocoee lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Justynn Thomas, who scored 17 points. Thomas hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Lee-Peeples, who scored seven points along with two steals.

Windermere is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season. As for Ocoee, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8.

Windermere will square off against the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Santa Fe Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 games -- so hopefully the Wolverines like a good challenge. As for Ocoee, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. Wekiva is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
