Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Comes Up Short

Hillcrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 47-17 loss at the hands of the Marked Tree Indians. The contest marked the Screamin Eagles' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Hillcrest's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Marked Tree, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Hillcrest will be home for the holidays to greet Earle at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marked Tree, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-32 win against Crowley's Ridge Academy on the 15th.
