In what's become a running theme this season, the Lake Minneola Hawks gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 56-35 margin over South Lake. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Lake Minneola considering their zero-point performance the contest before.

Lake Minneola's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aliyah Perry, who scored 16 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Eva Saunders, who scored ten points along with seven steals.

South Lake's loss came despite strong showings from Kaylin Cockefair and Anyah Unelus. Cockefair scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks, while Unelus scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two steals.

Lake Minneola's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-7. As for South Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Minneola will face off against Seminole at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Seminole will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for South Lake, South Lake and Windermere will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
