Softball Recap: Wallace-Rose Hill Comes Up Short

After soaring to 12 runs the game before, Wallace-Rose Hill was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They lost 8-1 to the East Duplin Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 back in March.

Wallace-Rose Hill's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10. As for East Duplin, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Wallace-Rose Hill didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 16-1 win against Kinston on the 15th. As for East Duplin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-1 loss against North Lenoir on the 15th.
